A stunning and rare color form of this large-flowered species, produced from one of the best strains in the world from the world-renown Hung Sheng Orchids of Taiwan. This is the same strain that received a Silver Medal from the Taiwan Orchid Growers Association (SM/TOGA). This strain of Paph. esquirolei fma. album is free flowering and blooms in the spring.
These plants grow very well with Phalaenopsis as they require similar cultural requirements. Keep plants in moderate indirect light with humidity at 60 to 80% and intermediate to warm temperatures. Water as the potting mix approaches dryness. Excellent for growing on a windowsill or under lights. As with all Paphs, its roots are sensitive to salt buildup from excess fertilizer which causes leaf tips to turn brown. It is a good practice to flush the medium with water once a month and repot Paphs in fresh media every year. These top quality plants are highly desirable and very rewarding.
