We are delighted to offer one of the newest compact nobile-type Dendrobium hybrid created and registered by Tian Mu Orchids of Taiwan in 2018. Den. Tianmu Green Elf 'Sweetheart' is very floriferous, producing a mass of crystalline-white flowers with a green throat. This remarkable plant is 6 – 8 inches tall and is perfect for growing under lights! The long-lasting flowers have a sweet fragrance, very heavy substance, a diamond-dusted texture, and are extremely fragrant. It blooms on newly matured canes as well as old canes.
We have field tested this variety outdoors for over a year here in Southern California in our covered outdoor growing area, where it experienced a high summer temperature of 105°F and low winter temperature down to 38°F with hardly any set back. This plant can be grown outdoors in areas where winters are frost free. Give a drier and cooler winter rest for best flowering in spring. It is normal for the leaves to turn yellow and fall off during the winter rest. Can be grown on a bright window sill or under lights. Can be grown potted or in a hanging basket. Water and fertilize regularly during the summer. This is a wonderful beginner plant for your first nobile-type Dendrobium. Heat and cold tolerant. Highly recommended. Also check out MC2424 Den.
