We are excited to offer this remarkable compact nobile-type Dendrobium hybrid. Den. Tianmu Fangming Jade 'Sweet' is perfect for growing under lights! The canes are 6 – 8 inches tall and bear full sized unique flowers. Dozens of white flowers with dark pink picotee and chartreuse green throat are borne on old canes and newly matured canes. The back of the flower is green! The flowers have a very heavy substance for type and are extremely fragrant.
We have grown this variety outdoors for over a year here in Southern California, where it experienced a high summer temperature of 115°F and low winter temperature down to 28°F with hardly any set back. This plant can be grown outdoors in areas where winters are frost free. Give a drier and cooler winter rest for best flowering. It is normal for the leaves to turn yellow and fall off during the winter rest. Can be grown on a bright window sill, under lights, or in an orchid cabinet. This is a wonderful beginner plant for your first nobile type Dendrobium. Highly recommended.
