Brassocattleya (abbreviated Bc.) Katherine H. Chatham was created and registered by Flickinger in 1960. This select clone is from a remake made in Japan.
Vigorous plants are compact and have pencil-shaped growths that resemble its parent B. nodosa. The flowers have excellent substance. The petals and sepals are white; the trumpet-shaped lip is large and magenta colored. It can bloom twice a year in spring and fall, and the flowers have a delightful fragrance and lasts 6—8 weeks. It is easy to grow and produces multiple growths which quickly form a specimen size. Can be grown in a pot, hanging basket, or mounted. Can be grown outdoors in areas where winters are frost-free and mild like southern Florida. Highly recommended.
