Description

This extraordinary Cattleya intergeneric hybrid could brighten even the cloudiest day! Blc. Young-Min Orange ‘Golden Satisfaction’ AM/AOS is a multiple award winner, garnering a Blue Ribbon and Best of Class at the 2010 Taiwan International Orchid Show, where it also received an 84 point Award of Merit (AM) from the American Orchid Society (AOS). At the time of award, it was showing off with 152 heavy substance flowers on 20 inflorescences, averaging 7 – 8 golden-orange flowers per spike and creating quite a spectacular display. It is a prolific bloomer, putting out a mass of cheerful, long-lasting, bright-orange blooms. Due to the influence of Lc. Trick or Treat (now Cattlianthe Trick or Treat) parent, these plants will proliferate quickly and form a multi-growth specimen plant in a few years. This clone is a proven grower and reliable bloomer for us in Southern CA, blooming in spring and again in fall. It is considered one of the best mini-orange Cattleya hybrid. Flowers have a diamond-dusted texture and a wonderful fragrance. A welcome addition to any orchid collection. Perfect for growing on a bright windowsill, under lights, or in an orchid cabinet. Its compact size makes it excellent for shipping and growing in small spaces. Highly recommended for beginners, and growers who an abundance of flowers or an orchid that blooms twice a year. Quantity is limited so don’t hesitate for too long!

Note, Blc. Young-Min Orange ‘Golden Satisfaction’ AM/AOS is also known as Rhyncattleanthe [Rtt.] Young-Min Orange ‘Golden Satisfaction’ AM/AOS due to the reclassification of several species in its background, i.e., Brassavola digbyana as Rhyncholaelia digbyana, C. aurantiaca to Gurianthe aurantiaca, and several Laelia species to Cattleya.
