Phal. Yaphon Pink Bee 'Sweetheart' (Cornustris ' KF #1' AM/AOS x Yaphon Auspices) , MC2328
Introducing the newest addition to our Fragrant Novelty Phal collection—Phal. Yaphon Pink Bee 'Sweetheart' . The pod parent, Phal. Cornustris, is an awarded clone of the primary hybrid of Phal. equestris x Phal. cornu-cervi. The pollen parent, Phal. Yaphon Auspices, is Phal. Yungho Gelb Canary x Phal. Chiada Ziv—a fragrant novelty Phal. with a waxy flower. The clone ‘Sweetheart’ is selected for its compact leaves (influence from equestris and cornu-cervi), heat tolerance, sweet fragrance, abundance of blooms, and very long lasting flowers. Take a look at the genetic composition of Phal. Yaphon Pink Bee and you can see the strong influence of Phal. equestris and Phal. cornu-cervi: 28% Phal. equestris, 25% Phal. cornu-cervi, 15% Phal. amboinensis, 6% Phal. violacea, 6% Phal. venosa, 6% Phal. micholitzii, 3% Phal. amabilis, 3% Phal. lueddemanniana, and 8% other. Space saver—it does not take much space in your collection. Excellent for growing under lights or on a windowsill.
