In creating this remarkable hybrid, Shiina Yoran-en crossed one of their best miniature multiforal Phal. Happy Sheena with the well-known fine pink-striped Phal. Sogo Vivien from Sogo Orchid of Taiwan.
Phal. Happy Vivien is an amazing hybrid that has best qualities of both parents. Foliage is dark green and the plant is compact. The sturdy, self-supporting, branching flower spike is proudly held above the foliage. The clone, ‘Sakura Peloric’ has exceeded our expectations. It was selected by Shiina Yoran-en for its stable peloric flower form. The long-lasting flowers are about the size of Phal. Sogo Vivien, have extraordinary heavy substance, and a diamond-dusted texture (leading us to believe that it might be a tetraploid). These plants are perfect for growing on a window sill, under lights, or in an orchid cabinet. Award quality.
