Description 

Paphiopedilum philippinense is an endangered species endemic to the Philippines and northern Borneo. Habitat destruction and illegal collecting has threatened the survival of this spectacular species in the wild. In their native habitat, the plants live in a number of places: terrestrial found growing on the forest floor in leaf mulch, epiphytically on trees and in mosses on rocks. Leaves are linear, pale green in color, leathery in texture. Multi-floral inflorescences can carry up to 4 to 6 flowers. Flowers are large with a natural spread of 30 cm across. The plants we used to produces these fine seedlings were collected and imported by other growers before Paph. philippinense became classified as an endangered species. Both parents ' Angel Wing' and ' Easter Parade' have received awards from the American Orchid Society.
