Paph. (Alma's Moth ' Green Sails ' x esquirole album ' Emeralds In Snow ') , NF2567
This magnificent new cross is shared with us by our good friend and premier Paphiopedilum breeder Dr. Harold Koopowitz. We are extremely excited to offer limited plants of this amazing, unique hybrid. The pollen parent, Paph. Alma's Moth 'Green Sails' (also created by Harold Koopowitz), is a complex album Maudiae type Paph with variegated leaves that is very easy to grow. The pod parent, Paph. esquirolei (syn. hirsutissimum var. esquirolei) fma. album 'Emeralds In Snow', is one of the best album form of the species. Paph. esquirolei is a fantastic species with large, very unique, long-lasting, eye-catching flowers up to 5.5 inches across. These plants have cold tolerance from the Paph. esquirolei parent and mottled leaves from the Paph. Alma's Moth 'Green Sails' parent. We expect easy, low maintenance plants with unusual large, green, long-lasing flowers and mottled foliage. These plants grow very well with Phals or Phrags on a windowsill or underlights. Highly recommended for Paph collectors and alba lovers.
