Lc. Mem. Robert Strait 'Blue Hawaii' JC/AOS (C. walkeriana x Lc. Wayndora), MC545
As Norman’s favorite blue Cattleya, ‘Blue Hawaii’ produces amazingly fragrant 4” flowers on a delightfully compact grower ! Its blue flares on the petals and sepals are mirrored by a darker blue overlay on its velvety lip. With its compact growth habit coming from the pod parent, Cattleya walkeriana, it usually flowers for us in the spring and fall. When grown and flowered under cooler day temperatures, the blue on the petals and lip becomes even more intensely blue. An unusual and quite exceptional color form of this hybrid and very Highly Recommended !
