Galeopetalum (abbreviated Gptm.) Starburst is a stunning and colorful intergeneric hybrid between the Galeottia fimbriata and Zygopetalum Jumpkin Jack, created by Parkside Orchid Nursery and registered in 2009. The highly sought awarded clone 'Parkside' is now available. These compact plants are 10 – 12 inches in height, and produces multiple 1.5 – 2 inch fragrant, green, speckled flowers that last 2 – 3 weeks. This variety of orchid can bloom twice a year. These warmth tolerant plants are super easy to grow and flower, making it an excellent beginner plant. Grow these plants in intermediate to warm temperature in medium to bright indirect light but no direct sunlight. Roots love to be moist and must not be allowed to dry out. Sphagnum moss is the preferred potting medium. Water and fertilize regularly. Provide good humidity and air circulation. Grows well on a bright windowsill or under lights. Highly recommended.
