Description

This very unusual Vanda intergeneric hybrid was created and registered by S. Ichijyo of Japan in 1984. It is a primary hybrid with Vanda falcata and Seidenfadenia mitrata.

The growth habit is dominated by the Vanda falcata, making it compact and upright. Seidenfadenia mitrata increases the flower count. These plants are intermediate to warm growers and can tolerate heat. They grow well under Cattleya conditions. Can be grown in a pot, hanging basket, or mounted on a bright windowsill or under lights. Up to 12 very fragrant flowers are produced on a single inflorescence. Mature plants can produce multiple inflorescences.

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
