Phal. fasciata is native to the Philippines, usually found near rivers at an altitude up to 1,400 feet. “Fasciata” means striped, referring to the striped markings on the flower. This is a selfing (i.e., self propagation) of a named clone of this rare floriferous species. Long lasting flowers are star shaped, fleshy, have a waxy texture, and fragrant. Multiple spike growth habit, it can produce new flowers on spikes for several years so do not cut off unless it is dry and brown. It readily forms keikis. If left on the spike, the keiki will mature and flower as well, making a fantastic show. Best grown mounted with high humidity and good air circulation. Very highly recommended for the species collector!

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
