Description

This is a selfing of the famed "Pink Perfection" strain from the remake of the cross of Laelia (abbreviated L.) anceps 'Marble King' AM/AOS and L. anceps 'Wallbrunn' AM/AOS. An esteemed pure-white crossed with a marvelous lavender, each with exceptionally round petals. Flowers from this strain have an unusual lavender-pink color with above average size. To date, over 9 clones from this strain have received American Orchid Society quality awards. The Pink Perfection strain received the prestigious Award of Quality (AQ/AOS) from the AOS in February of 2006. Laelia anceps is a very rewarding and beautiful species from Mexico. It is a very vigorous grower able to withstand a wide range of temperatures, from freezing to as hot as 100 degrees F.  It blooms between November and January. Flowers are fragrant and award quality. This strain is temperature tolerant and does very well outdoors at our nursery in Montclair, CA.

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
