Aerides (abbreviated Aer.) Korat Koki is a primary hybrid with Aer. houlletiana and Aer. lawrenceae. This population originates from a remake by Mr. Suwannaphum, who is president of the Thailand Orchid Society. Tetraploid versions of both parents were used in making this remake, which results in more compact and stockier plants than normal. There are two color forms to these plants—either purple or yellow flowers.
