Description & Details

Trichocentrum jonesianum (formerly known as Oncidium jonesianum) is found in southern Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay in riverine forests. This uncommon species is a medium sized, warm to hot, pendant growing epiphyte with very small, ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, terete leaf that blooms in the fall with an arching to pendant, up to 2-ft long, 6 to 16 long-lasting, showy flowers.

This plant grows best mounted with its terete leaves pointing downwards. Water well and let dry between watering. Give bright light with good air circulation and humidity. Sold mounted on textured UV-treated slab.

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
