Description & Details

An exciting rare color form of this charming Phalaenopsis species ! Phalaenopsis stuartiana is endemic to the Philippine island of Mindanao. This is a sibling cross of two very dark yellow clones of the variety nobilis, producing fuller flowers on a more free-blooming plant. This resulting sibling cross is easier to grow than the standard variety. There are no variegated markings on the leaves of this variety, but is a much smaller plant in size and more compact growing, and more cold tolerant than the standard Phal. stuartiana. As the flowers first open, they appear white or light yellow, so don’t be concerned. Within 1-2 weeks, as they mature, they turn a rich dark yellow, becoming darker as they age. Perfect for growing under lights, on a windowsill. Pictured, is one of the first to flower from this group, taken by Mr. Arnold Gum. Very Highly Recommended!

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents
