Phal. schilleriana is a remarkable species from the Philippines, famous for its long branching inflorescence adorned with dozens of soft pink fragrant flowers and distinctive markings on its leaves. Here we have a cross of two spectacular forms of Phal. schilleriana: San Ramon Island form and Mindoro Island form. We believe this is the first time these two fine regional forms of Phal. schilleriana are combined. The San Ramon Island form has attractive fragrant pink flowers and remarkable dark leaves with marble markings. The Mindoro Island form is known for its darker flowers and more compact rounder leaves in addition to its increased species vigor. The goal is to create an exciting new strain that possess the traits of the two forms. The result has been fantastic! Deep green leaves with fine spots, floriferous, dark color form, branching inflorescence, sweet fragrance, and excellent species vigor. Its abundant flowers make an excellent cascading waterfall effect for hanging basket or mounting—a truly magnificent display. If growing in a pot, we recommend staking the spikes to support the weight of the flowers. It can be grown under lights or on a windowsill. Easy to grow and a reliable bloomer. Don’t miss this opportunity to get this exciting new strain. Highly recommended for Phal. lover, beginner, species collector, and collector of fragrant orchids.
