Description & Details

This extraordinary species is native to the Philippines islands of Luzon, Polillo, Palawan and Mindanao. It is found in cool and shady locations of humid forests at elevations up to 1,700 feet. Its fragrant flowers are creamy white with transverse markings that resemble hieroglyphs. Here, we offer an exceptional strain of this highly sought-after species. The waxy flowers are well shaped and have good substance. The glyph markings are a clear bright pink, and the pattern is evenly distributed. The flower spikes cascade in a pendulous fashion, creating a graceful display against its apple green leaves. Easy to grow, heat tolerant, vigorous grower, and produces a large number of flowers when mature. It will continue to flower on old spikes for several years, while continuing to create new spikes. Do not cut the spikes off until they turn yellow. It grows best in high humidity, mounted and kept constantly moist—do not let dry completely. Rarely found on the market. Frequent ribbon winner at orchid shows. A rewarding addition to any Phalaenopsis species collection.

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
