Description & Details

Phal. YangYang Super Model is a novelty Phal. created by the famous hybridizer Prince Orchids of Taiwan. We are the exclusive USA distributor for Prince Orchids.

The pod parent, Phal. gigantea var. alba 'Prince', is the best clone of Phal. gigantea var. alba. The pollen parent, Phal. Yungho Gelb Canary 'Yungho' (Phal. Gelblieber × Phal. Princess Kaiulani), is a phenomenal novelty Phal and a very proven parent, creating dozens of outstanding progeny. We believe this hybrid is the best Phal. gigantea var. alba cross to date.

We recently flowered Phal. YangYang Super Model in a 2.5-inch pot. It is a first bloom seedling with 6-inch leaf span and 3 flowers. Phal. YangYang Super Model is very fragrant, and has long-lasting waxy flowers. It has a multiple spiking habit, which means new flower spikes form while older mature spikes are still blooming. It blooms for several years on old and newly matured spikes, so do not cut the spike unless it is brown and dry. Phal. gigantea is recessive in leaf size and growth habit, so Phal. YangYang Super Model has compact round leaves for type with big, full round flower shape. Can be grown on a windowsill or under lights. Limited quantity available. Don’t miss out on this extraordinary, unique color of Phal. YangYang Super Model and amazing, robust grower. Highly recommended for Phal. fanatics, collectors of fragrant orchids, and growers looking for something new and unusual. A valuable addition to any modern novelty Phal breeding program. This cross will soon be a classic. Award quality.
