Description & Details

This is a wild cross that can yield surprising results with any number of color possibilities of the rainbow, ranging from yellow, orange, peach, salmon, and pink background with spots. Really fun and whimsical! The harlequin breeding in its background should shine through in this cross.

The pod parent, Phal. Miki Crown, is Phal. Miki Galaxy x Fuller's Sunset. Phal. Miki Galaxy '69' SM/TOGA is a modern red harlequin hybrid that produces large (almost 5 inches), wonderfully flat flowers on gracefully cascading inflorescences; each flower perfectly presented on the spike for the ultimate display!  Recipient of a Silver Medal (SM) from the Taiwan Orchid Growers Association (TOGA), it also won the Best Phalaenopsis honor at the 2017 Japan Grand Prix International Orchid Show. Its harlequin breeding background has resulted in a heavy dark harlequin overlay which almost totally covers the flowers, revealing just a fine picotee around all of its segments.  One of the very best from this line of breeding for flower size, presentation, and its eye-popping “wow” factor! We used Phal. Miki Crown '16', a chance mutation from the first release of Phal. Miki Crown by Miki Orchids. It is about 3.5 inches across with heavy flower substance and colored lip from the yellow parent Phal. Fuller's Sunset. The pollen parent, Phal. I-Hsin Stacy 'Paris', is one of my favorite modern Phal with French spots.

Can be grown on a windowsill or under lights. Each seedling will be unique—no two plants will be alike. Buy two and compare!

PLEASE NOTE:
Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
