Description & Details

We are super excited about this magnificent remake of Phal. Jennifer Palermo. The fuchsia/purple colored Phal. Jennifer Palermo is a very popular and exceptional Phal. Here we used two extraordinary and unusual color forms to create a phenomenal art shade version of Phal. Jennifer Palermo. The pod parent, Phal. tetraspis f. christiana 'Jiaho Coffee' CHM/AOS, is a very rare form of tetraspis with an unusual coffee color. It has a Certificate of Horticultural Merit (CHM) from the American Orchid Society for its rare color. For the pollen parent, Phal. violacea var. indigo 'Jiaho Indigo' is a very good deep indigo variety. First bloom seedlings are exhibiting robust growth with 2-3 spikes. This new remake carries the trademarks of Phal. tetraspis, i.e., multiple spike habit, sequential bloomer, and wonderful fragrance. Multiple spike habit means new flowers form while older flower spike are still green and blooming. It blooms from both old and new mature spikes for several years so do not cut the spike unless it is brown and dry. Sequential bloomer means that flowers appear one after another on the spike, so it will be in flower for a long period. The flowers also have a nice waxy substance, making them long-lasting.

Highly recommended for Phal. fanatics, collectors of unusual orchids, lovers of fragrant orchids, and collectors of novelty hybrid Phals.

No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
