This particular hybrid is an improvement over the pollen parent with the addition of Dragon’s Gold as the pod parent, adding the fragrance of Phal. amboinensis to the hybrid. With all these strong growing species in its background, ‘Sweet Fragrance’ is a heat-tolerant and easy grower. As first bloomers, they’re already producing 1-2 spikes in 3” moss pots – as they get older, they will produce multiple spikes, while maintaining their small size, due to the influence of Phal. equestris from I-Hsin Viola Tris.
