Description & Details

Paph. wardii is a rewarding species found from southwestern China to western Myanmar. This is

a sibling cross of two very easy flowering strains of the rare alba form of the species. The long-lasting flowers are pure green and white with beautiful variegated foliage. The plant is compact and easy to grow and can bloom twice a year. Excellent companion plant for warm-growing Phalaenopsis as it requires similar conditions. Alba varieties require lower light levels than the standard variety. It appreciates 50-60% humidity level. It can be grown under lights or on a bright windowsill. As with all Paphs, its roots are sensitive to salt buildup from excessive fertilizer which causes leaf tips to turn brown. It is a good practice to repot Paphs in fresh media every year. Very rewarding and a welcome addition to any collection. Highly recommended for beginners and species lovers.
