Description & Details

One of the most sought-after of all Paph. species for its striking flowers and compact growth habit ! This miniature clump-forming species is endemic to the Himalayas and Bhutan, often found growing along riverbeds. The result of a select strain from Asia, the pollen parent of this sibbing is an F1 strain from the Orchid Zone. To achieve darker red stripes on its flowers, it was bred to the awarded clone, ‘Red’ AM/AOS, the result of which has produced a much improved species vigor. Its charming flowers are produced on compact 10” spikes, usually from late autumn to early spring. Definitely deserving of inclusion in any orchid collection, large or small ! Very Highly Recommended !

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
