This  hybrid has very waxy and long lasting bright yellow flowers. Both species parents are members of the Formosae (formerly Nigrohirsute) section of Dendrobium.

 Large 2-inch flowers are produced from the nodes near the apex of mature leafless and leafy canes. The pollen parent, Den. trigonopus, dominates this new hybrid with its compact growth habit (6 – 8 inches) and increased flower count. These plants are weather tolerant, capable tolerating of temperature extremes but favoring intermediate to warm temperature. Can be grown outdoors in areas where winters are frost-free and above 45°F. Grow these plants in bright, diffused light. Keep moist in spring and summer while plants are actively growing. Water and fertilize regularly during active growth.

Plants require a cool, drier winter rest to induce blooming. Discontinue fertilizer at this time. Let plants dry between watering. Temperature in the winter can be below 50 ° F at night and it is important to keep plants drier when it is colder. Resume normal watering when new growth starts. Plants grow best mounted. If grown in a pot, use fast draining medium. Can be grown under lights or on a bright windowsill. It will rebloom from old canes as well as newly matured canes. The tiny black hairs on the canes make this plant pest and disease resistant. Highly recommended for a great new direction in this line of breeding!
