This variety of Den. primulinum, var. Laos, differs from the more common Thailand variety in that it produces longer canes bearing larger flowers with a huge and distinctly accented yellow blotch in the lip ! Needing direct sun for a minimum of three hours a day, this deciduous species produces pendulous canes, flowering from winter through summer with clusters of 1-2 fragrant flowers along the length of its canes. Give plenty of water and fertilizer at the onset of new growth for the most abundant flowering, withholding both after the leaves and flowers have faded and until new growths are evident. A cool to intermediate grower, this species requires cool night temperatures year round for the best growth and flowering. And for its best flower display, we suggest growing it in a basket to allow the cascade to show off in all its glory. Highly Recommended !
