Cattlianthe (abbreviated Ctt.) Chief Berry is a stunning hybrid created and registered by Chief Orchid Nursery (Taiwan) in 2012.
The clone 'Ember' was selected for its diamond-dusted, dark, pink-red flowers with contrasting bright yellow throat. It is an adorable miniature Cattleya that blooms in magnificent clusters. Plants are mature and blooming in a 2.5-inch pot. Mature plants typically bloom twice a year, in spring and fall. It is warmth tolerant that even does well in South Florida.
Grow in bright indirect light with moderate humidity and strong air circulation. Water generously during active growth but ensure roots dry between watering. Plants may be potted or mounted or grown in a hanging basket. Fertilize weakly, weekly. It is excellent for growing under lights, on a window sill, or in an orchid cabinet. This easy grower is great for beginners, a must for a mini-cattleya collection, and a perfect addition to any home. Highly recommended.
