A beautiful miniature species found in Borneo in lower montane forests at elevations of 600 to 1500 meters as a warm growing epiphyte.
Blooms form in the late winter and early spring on basal, 2 to 3.5-inch long inflorescences bearing 6 to 9 simultaneously opening unusual flowers on floral bracts. The pendant 2-inch brilliant red flowers are almost bigger than the plant itself!
This population is a sibling cross of two of the darkest clones. These plants grow well with the novelty Phals and love growing in sphagnum moss for constant moisture. Can be grown in a pot, hanging basket, or mounted. Keep moist; 3-5 waterings per week (let dry lightly between waterings). Bulbophyllums benefit from high humidity and air circulation. Give slightly less light than Cattleya, Vanda, and Dendrobium. Perfect for growing on a windowsill, under lights, in an orchid cabinet or in a terrarium.

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
