This is the cross was created and registered by Jumbo Orchids in 2019. Mr. Yang Yang, of the Prince Orchids, remade this hybrid by crossing Phal . Penang Violacea 'Indigo' with his own highly acclaimed Phal. gigantea f. Alba 'Prince'.
The parent pod, Phal . Penang Violacea 'Indigo', is Phal. violacea x Phal. micholitzii . Using the clone 'Indigo' gives the flowers a richer color. Phal. micholitzii increases the flower count in this hybrid. Using Phal. gigantea f. alba – the best clone of Phal. gigantea f. alba, reduces the size of plant even smaller than the original cross. Phal. gigantea f. alba 'Prince' has been proven to be a good parent, imparting late winter/early spring flowering in its hybrids—a plus for Novelty Phalaenopsis.
