We are excited to offer this first release of Phal. Jamie's Raspberry Pearl 'Orchid Affair' from our own breeding. The clonal name 'Orchid Affair' is the name of Jamie’s company before she sold it. The pod parent, Phal. Chian Xen Pearl 'Ming Ho' AM/AOS, is a beautiful miniature, multifloral, harlequin type with dark red spotting on a white background. The pollen parent, Phal. Norman's Stripes (Jackie Debonis x Hawaiian Legend 'Excellency' AM/AOS). ‘Monte Vista’ is the best clone with almost 5-inch wide, strikingly vivid, candy-striped flowers.
The clone 'Orchid Affair' was selected among hundreds of seedlings for having impressive 10.5 cm (≈ 4.13 inch) wide, wonderful pink color with uniform harlequin red spots. The amazing flowers have excellent substance, shape and form. The easy to grow plants are compact and robust. Can be grown on a windowsill, under lights, or in an orchid cabinet. We expect many awards from this magnificent cross.
