Phal. Germaine Vincent 'Cinnamon Candy' (violacea fma indigo x speciosa ' Blue ') , MC1200
We are proud to offer this exciting new remake of the popular and easy to grow Phal. Germaine Vincent!
This plant is the latest in our on-going effort to create free-blooming, pest and disease resistant Phals.
For this remake, Phal. violacea f. indigo was crossed with Phal. tetraspis 'Blue' to produce an exciting, new color strain. These plants are very fragrant, vigorous growers, and free bloomers that can begin blooming on young small plants. It has a multiple spike habit (influence from Phal. tetraspis)—flowers will bloom from old spikes for several years while new spikes are forming, so it will flower for a very long period. Do not cut the spike unless it is dry and brown. It is a sequential bloomer, flowering alternately on either side of the inflorescence. The clone ‘Cinnamon Candy’ was selected for its amazing cinnamon candy scent.
Grows well on a bright windowsill, underlights, or in an orchid cabinet. Excellent plant for beginners and advanced growers alike. A “must-have” for any serious Phal species or novelty Phal collection. Highly recommended for lovers of fragrant orchids.
