Paph. malipoense ( x ), NF258
An endangered species endemic to China, these plants are the result of seedlings grown in a laboratory from plants that had been collected and imported prior to their endangered classification ! This amazing species produces an impressively huge fragrant green flower, accented with purple venation and enhanced by attractively mottled leaves, the leaves being rich green on their surface with waxy margins, their undersides marked with purple. Highly prized for their sweet raspberry fragrance, in nature these plants are found growing on shady rock outcrops of mountainous slopes in wood forests. We’re fortunate to be able to offer seedlings of this species, although now endangered in the wild, as a result of selected sibbings and selfings to produce seed sown in a lab. Very Highly Recommended !
