Paph. dianthum var album (dianthum 'Albino Beauty' x dianthum 'White Heritage') NF1005
This is a sibling cross of two fantastic select clones of the rare alba form of this amazing species. Paphiopedilum (abbreviated Paph.) dianthum can be found in Vietnam, China, and Central Laos. It grows in coniferous, mixed and broad-leaved, evergreen, mossy, humid, semi-deciduous forests and thickets at elevations of 1,600 to 4,700 feet. Paph. dianthum also called “The Double Flowered Paphiopedilum” as it often has two flowers open concurrently. Mature plants can have up to 5 flowers on a single spike. This species is very compact growing—6-8" leaf span is blooming size. Excellent candidate for growing on a windowsill or under lights. A perfect companion plant for Phalaenopsis.
PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
