Description

Chiloschista lunifera is a exotic leafless orchid that originates from southern Asia. These are a member of the Vanda/Phalaenopsis alliance, consisting of a very abbreviated plant stem with multiple radiating roots that perform the majority of the photosynthesis. These will produce small leaves up to one inch long during active growth. During this same time, new roots will emerge along with re-activation of old root tips, adding to the length of the old roots. In fall, drier, cooler weather will prompt the plant to drop its temporary leaves and resume a leafless state. Grow well with Phalaenopsis .

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
