C. (warscewiczii ' Halo ' AM/AOS x warscewiczii ' Michael ' AM/AOS) NF2459
Formerly known as Cattleya gigas (gigas is a Greek word meaning giant), C. warscewiczii has the largest flower of all Cattleya species. This exceptional new strain is a select sibling cross of two exceptional, awarded clones of C. warscewiczii, with vibrant pink petals and sepals, with a very dark purple lip with yellow eyes. These sensational plants have incredible vigor and are flowering in 4-inch pots producing 3 massive 8-inch fragrant flowers per inflorescence! These award quality plants enjoy the hot long day length of summer and can flower from late June to July. PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
