Ansellia is more commonly known as the African Tiger or Leopard Orchid ! This variety, nilotica, is the more select larger-spotted variety from South Africa and is a more compact grower with a branching spike habit as opposed to the regular form of Aslla. africana. This particular sibbing has used two highly awarded parents to produce a 4N population of this species with crisp distinct spotting and greater weather tolerance. Var. nilotica is best grown under high light with regular watering and fertilizing. This new improved strain does very well in the greenhouse under intermediate growing conditions but can also be grown outdoors in frost-free areas. Highly Recommended !
