Often called the Tulip Orchid, this fragrant species from Columbia and Venezuela has a rocking lip which is totally enclosed by its sepals and petals, thus resembling a tulip ! A warm to cool grower, it produces large, waxy, extremely fragrant flowers reminiscent of wintergreen and chocolate from spring through summer. Its single-flowered erect inflorescence is produced basally from new growths which have formed during the winter. As a deciduous plant, it will drop its leaves which is a cue to provide less water and fertilizer until the onset of new growth. Highly recommended !

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
