Tip: Perfect time to repot
your Phalaenopsis:
After
flowering is always the best time to repot your Phalaenopsis in
fresh mix. Watch for
new roots with bright apple green tips, an indication that
vegetative growth is beginning. Remove the old flower spike
and any dead roots.
Select the new pot size according to the root system of the
plant, not the leaf span (always remember that Phals like to be snug
in their pot). Fill
with new medium, and it will get well established over the summer
months in preparation for its next flowering.
