Endemic to India, the Himalayas and widely distributed in the far east, this fragrant species is often found in situ in evergreen lowland forests ! An intermediate to cool hardy grower, it’s excellent for outdoor culture in frost free areas, the same culture given to Cymbidiums. As a deciduous species, its leaves will yellow and fall in November and December prior to a drier winter rest, at which point water and fertilizing should be greatly reduced for its best spring flowering. At the onset of early spring, with the appearance of new growth, resume normal watering, fertilizing and light. Capable of producing keikis from its older canes, it can produce a virtual explosion of its delightfully fragrant and waxy long lasting flowers arising from the upper nodes of both its leafless and leafed canes in the spring. This species tends to be very pest and disease resistant and is Highly Recommended !

PLEASE NOTE: Since this is a Seedling Population (not a Mericlone which produces exact duplicates), the picture is for illustration purposes only. No two plants will be the same from this cross, and they will flower in a range of possibilities coming from the two parents.
